Contemporary Apartments Developed for Affluent Dallas Neighbourhood

While designing an apartment building in the wealthy Highland Park neighbourhood, developer and CEO of VALIDUS development corp. Luis Gonzalez had a vision for something unlike the traditional Dallas home. Creating a Scandinavian aesthetic was desired for the new building. The Normandy building, including 21 luxury apartment units, features contemporary style both inside and out.

Luis’ company specialises in smaller format, luxury apartment buildings as well as single family homes. Though he had never worked with Trespa^® brand products before, Luis determined that Pura^® NFC by Trespa could offer the desired aesthetic and create a warm, welcoming exterior. Luis also noted low maintenance as a benefit of using the product. Pura^® NFC in Aged Ash was selected to clad the Normandy building. The siding was installed vertically for a modern look to sections of the building facing the street and the residents’ courtyard.

Installation of the Pura^® NFC planks went smoothly, and Luis appreciated the Trespa^® resources available. “The installation videos were great. My own framers learned the process and framed the building.” Completed in 2021, Luis shared that the building was 100% rented within 5 months. Young couples and young families as well as empty nesters were targets for the apartments. “It’s unique to the area featuring sizeable units and robust smart home technology; the tenants love the new building.” Both the owners and tenants of the Normandy appreciate the modern new building clad in Pura^® NFC.
